Community Service, sounds kind of bland when you say it like that... We like to call it "Making a Differnce" it says more, and means more. Surely it is our community and we are providing a service but we like to think of these people are our friends, and we're helping like a good friend should. We've called this years events
"Project Love & Support" and rightfully so.
Just as much as they need us, we need them. These simple acts of kindness have not just helped touch several lives, and maybe even helped find the cure, or pass a petition that may help people with Lukeimia not get dropped from their health care, or children with diabetes feel like a normal kid; but it changed our lives too. We got to see the world from another perspective. We see the abundance of beauty in actively helping and meeting these people. Seeing what other people go through with in their lives, and the amount of strength that just radiates from their smiles, although they are fighting breast cancer, lukeimia, or they don't have enough food on the table or a coat in this freezing winter weather. It really puts your life into perspective, and also makes you realize- a little goes a long way... a little makes a difference.
